This Policy applies to a consumer habitually resident in the European Union who buys goods through thebedroomstor.com. It does not reduce any mandatory consumer right under the law applicable to that consumer.

2. Fourteen-Day Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from an eligible purchase without giving a reason within 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods.
If one order is delivered in separate lots or pieces, the period begins on the day you or your designated third party receives the last lot or piece.
3. How to Exercise the Right

5. Returning the Goods
After notifying us of the withdrawal, return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you sent the withdrawal notice.

Contact us before sending the goods so we can supply customs instructions and arrange or approve the appropriate tracked parcel or freight method. This coordination does not make the exercise of the withdrawal right conditional on our authorization.
6. Direct Return Cost Paid by the Consumer
You bear the direct cost of returning goods when you withdraw because of a change of mind. You do not bear the return cost when the goods are damaged, defective, incorrect, or non-conforming, or when applicable law requires us to pay it.
For a return that we arrange, your direct return charge is the actual documented carrier or collection cost, subject to the following maximum:
Your charge will not exceed the applicable Standard Parcel, Standard Furniture, or Oversized Freight delivery rate published in our Shipping Policy for the returned product’s shipping class and your delivery country.
For a partial return, the cap is the published rate for the returned product’s class and destination. For a whole-order return containing more than one class, the cap is the highest applicable published class rate. If the actual return cost is lower than the cap, only the lower actual cost is charged. If the actual cost is higher than the cap, Roger Stephen Hildick bears the excess.
Before collection or label issuance, we will state the amount to be charged or deducted. You may instead choose your own suitable tracked and insured carrier, in which case you pay that carrier directly; contact us first for the required customs-return instructions.
7. Reimbursement After Withdrawal
We reimburse the payments received for the returned goods, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered for those goods. We do not reimburse the additional amount attributable to an express, premium, room-of-choice, white-glove, or other upgraded delivery option selected by you.
We initiate reimbursement without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which we receive your withdrawal notice. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that you sent them back, whichever occurs first.
Reimbursement is made to the original payment method unless you expressly agree to another method, and no refund fee is charged. The applicable direct return cost may be deducted where permitted by law.
8. Diminished Value
You are responsible only for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods, comparable to the inspection reasonably permitted in a physical store.
When reasonably possible, return furniture unassembled and include all parts, accessories, hardware, manuals, and original protective packaging. Missing components or unnecessary damage may result in a proportionate deduction supported by an explanation.
9. Exceptions
The right of withdrawal does not apply where a statutory exception applies, including, as relevant:

goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized;

sealed goods not suitable for return for genuine health-protection or hygiene reasons after unsealing;

goods that, after delivery and because of their nature, become inseparably mixed with other items; and
-
any other narrow exception that mandatory applicable law expressly recognizes.
A product is not excluded merely because it is furniture, has been removed from ordinary shipping packaging, or is described as clearance or final sale. Any statutory exception will be identified clearly before purchase.
10. Defective or Non-Conforming Goods
The withdrawal right is separate from the mandatory remedies for goods that are damaged, defective, incorrect, unsafe, or not in conformity with the contract. For such a problem, contact info@thebedroomstor.com. The applicable legal guarantee and remedies remain unaffected, and we bear reasonable return costs when we are legally responsible for the return.
