Payment, Pricing, Taxes and Duties Policy

This Policy explains the payment methods, currencies, pricing, taxes, customs duties, and checkout charges for purchases made through thebedroomstor.com.

1. Merchant and Seller

This website and online store are owned and operated by Roger Stephen Hildick, an individual sole proprietor located in Illinois, United States. “The Bedroom Stor” is the storefront name used by Roger Stephen Hildick. Roger Stephen Hildick is the seller and contracting party for purchases made through this website.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept Visa and Mastercard cards.

We do not add a surcharge solely because a customer pays with Visa or Mastercard. The card issuer may independently charge a currency-conversion, international-transaction, overdraft, or other account fee under its agreement with the cardholder; we do not receive or control such a fee.

3. Payment Authorization and Security

By submitting an order, the customer confirms that the payment information is accurate and that the customer is authorized to use the card.

Payment is securely authorized through our ecommerce platform and payment-service provider. We do not intentionally store complete card numbers on our own systems.

We may hold or cancel an order when payment is declined, cannot be verified, appears unauthorized or fraudulent, or when fulfillment would be unlawful. If we cancel an order after capturing payment, we refund the captured amount to the original payment method.

4. Market Currencies

Prices are displayed and orders are charged in the currency assigned to the selected market:

The same market currency must be used on the product page, cart, checkout, order confirmation, and refund. If the card account uses another currency, the card issuer determines any conversion rate and issuer fee.

5. Prices and Order Total

Before the customer submits an order, checkout displays:

• the product price;

• any discount;

• the shipping charge;

• taxes collected by us;

• duties or import charges collected by us; and

• the total amount payable to us.

We do not add undisclosed product, handling, shipping, packing, carrier, or service charges after the order is submitted.

6. United States Sales Tax

For United States orders, applicable state and local sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout where required by law. United States product prices shown before checkout do not include sales tax unless the page expressly states otherwise.

7. European Union VAT and Import Charges

For consumer orders delivered to Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, or Spain:

• displayed product prices include applicable VAT;

• any VAT applicable to shipping is included in the shipping charge displayed before payment;

• Roger Stephen Hildick arranges and bears applicable import VAT, customs duties, ordinary customs-clearance charges, and brokerage charges required for delivery; and

• the customer is not required to pay additional import VAT, customs duty, ordinary brokerage, or customs-clearance charges at or after delivery.

The total shown at checkout is the total payable to us for the products and selected standard delivery. If a carrier unexpectedly requests an import charge that this Policy assigns to us, contact info@thebedroomstor.com immediately. We will work with the carrier to resolve it or reimburse a verified charge for which this Policy makes us responsible.

8. Switzerland and Türkiye Taxes and Import Charges

For Switzerland and Türkiye, the checkout total includes the taxes, duties, and import charges expressly collected by us. Government-imposed import VAT, customs duty, brokerage, or customs-clearance charges not collected and shown by us before payment are the customer’s responsibility and may be requested by the carrier or customs authority.

9. Pricing Errors

We make reasonable efforts to keep prices, discounts, and product information accurate. If an obvious pricing or technical error occurs, we will contact the customer promptly before shipment. Where cancellation is permitted by applicable law, we may cancel the affected item and refund all amounts paid for it. This section does not allow us to avoid an accepted order merely because the price later becomes less favorable to us, and it does not limit mandatory consumer rights.

10. Discounts

A promotion or discount is governed by its clearly disclosed terms and validity period. Unless the promotion states otherwise, discounts cannot be applied retroactively and cannot be combined. For a price reduction offered to EEA consumers, the prior-price information required by applicable law must be displayed with the offer.

11. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method unless applicable law requires another method or the customer expressly agrees otherwise.
